Hi Dan. Yes... how things have changed. The new app.... our DMB OS "PRO".... does not run on Raspberry Pi's like our older versions. We use a much higher spec computer for our DMP-02 media player because the new features just would not run on the older and slower Raspberry Pi's. But I did not forget any of my previous supporters. I do offer the app for "free" but you still need to run it on our media player. I have a Trade-Up offer where anyone using my older software can get the whole thing for half off. Basically the app is free but you pay for the media player. I'm sure you understand that I cannot upgrade everyone's hardware for free. Still, it's something. And right now the Kaleidescape plugin is also free... another $100 saved. I think our app is a nice upgrade to anything else out there currently. It's cost me a TON of money, a lot of time and effort, and a serious climb in my blood pressure (No joke). I think the price is fair, and I think half off is fair as well for the Trade Up. I'd love to see you on board this train but I totally understand. Merry Christmas!!! JD

October 21, 2022 Today I invested in a new software called GigaPixel A.I. This is simply mind-blowing software that uses computer A.I. to upscale images and videos....and it does it extremely well. From today forward most all the content I provide will have some form of GigaPixel A.I. goodness done on it. This will translate to incredibly beautiful 4K images and videos playing on your movie boards regardless of how low def the original content is. This is a game changer for us because now every Digital Movie Board owner is going to get the best looking movie posters, movie trailers, and more content in the highest resolution and detail. Hi Dan. Sorry for the super late reply. So yes....the Movie Poster Board "LITE" edition is almost complete. I am expecting the software to be released to us in about 3 weeks and if it passes mustard then we'll make the big announcement. I know it's been a long time coming but we want a very sturdy piece of software. Like I always say....it's ready when it's ready.

Moving forward all Custom Movie Trailers will come with several movie posters of the movie. There will not be a Movie Poster section. It will be easier to keep track of what posters you currently have so you don't double up. Basically free posters with each movie trailer. Enjoy.

August 27, 2022 Every custom movie trailer, every banner, every video we create or customize in order to get great content out to our awesome movie board owners. Currently I use the Corel line of video editing and photo editing software. It's nice, powerful, and easy to use. But it's not without it's limitations. Today I invested in the Adobe line of Pro grade photo and video software. Adobe ain't cheap, and not for the faint of heart. Their software is used by many film companies and is pretty much the standard in professional grade video editing tools. But I want to continue to improve my skills so that I can continue to give you pro quality content that you will be excited about. The learning curve is frightening and I certainly won't be able to take advantage of it any time soon but rest assured I'm on it. I'm excited to start to use it and can't wait to see what kind of trouble I can get into with content. Stay tuned and keep an eye out. JD

August 25, 2022 Much improvement has been made to the Movie Poster "Lite" app. It is basically finished other than some cosmetic upgrades. We have it running 24/7 on 2 boards in our showroom without any glitches, reboots, or freeze ups. We'll keep you guys updated.

Hi Dan. The software is currently in beta testing. We are hoping to have it released by end of this month. Stay tuned. Also, we do have our Ultimate Movie Board on sale this month only for $200 off regular price. It's $1800.00 right now.

All owners of MovieNow app with paid licenses will still get support. Obviously we would like everyone to move over to the newer OS when it comes out as it will run on more powerful Pi 4's and offer better features. It will also be the OS where we will be dedicating all our efforts on. We know not everyone will want to, or need to move over but if you do we will give steep discounts for the move.

Glad to hear all is well. Moving forward we are working to release a completely new OS with a lot more features. This new OS is NOT a newer version of MovieNow but instead a whole new code. We still maintain the older EOL MovieNow version for any issues current users of that software may have. The MovieNow app has reached it's End Of Life due to both older code and hardware (raspberry pi 3b). The new OS runs on the more powerful Raspberry Pi 4 and adds more features. It is still in beta testing right now but when we release it there will be a cost for anyone wanting it. We plan to offer a significant discount to all current MovieNow users with legit licenses if they choose to upgrade. Pricing is still as yet undetermined.
