To upgrade the DMB Pro+ Movie Board LED lights...
or not?

We are at a dilemma. We need to do something out the LED lights on the rear frame of the DMB Pro+ Movie Boards. Currently the LED strip that is used is a 5 volt type that is powered by the TV's built in USB port. This is a convenient way to have the LED strip turn on and off with the TV, as well as not needing a dedicated electrical outlet. These current LED strip prices are going up and now they cost as much as a popular premium brand LED light strips. That brand is Govee. Personally I love Govee and their ecosystem. The Govee app is excellent and the LED colors and combinations are far superior to the current LED strip used now. Plus you can set schedules and timers, and automations. I currently offer the Govee RGBic LED strip as an upgrade option when purchasing the DMB Pro+ movie boards but now that the cost is the same as the cheaper strips I am thinking of just not using the older cheap LED lights and go in favor of the Govee full time.

The issue that users will have to face if we switch to Govee full time is that the LED strip is not USB powered - it needs it's own electrical power jack to operate. This of course will now require up to 3 available power outlets in some installations - DMB Unit, TV, Govee lights - as well as the use of an inwall Versa Box (which should be mandatory in the installations anyway). Now if a Vesabox is used then the point becomes moot as you can just add a power strip to accommodate the additional power plugs.

So I need your help - the DMB Community - to help me decide which lights to use on the DMB Pro+ movie boards. Do we stick to the same old tried and true but basic LED lights? Or do we upgrade to the Govee RGBic LED lights and get better colors, more animations, and schedule setting?

Please make your choice below.
